In the morning of 7 December 2019, Lui Che Woo College welcomed a group of China’s Gold Medalists during the final examination period. The students were highly excited to meet with these renowned sport stars and expected to learn from their life experiences sharing.

The seven China’s Gold Medalists namely Tong Fe (Gymnast), Li Xiaoshung (Gymnast), Yang Wei (Gymnast), Zhao Yunlei (Badminton athlete), Guo Wenjun (Shooting athlete), He Zi (Diver) and Qin Kai (Diver) won 12 Olympics Gold Medals in total and more than 40 gold medals in other world class competitions.

The event kicked off with a welcoming speech by Rector, Prof. Yonghua Song, subsequently a brief introduction of each athlete by College Master, Prof. Yip Ming Chuen. The athletes shared their experiences and thoughts one by one and they signed on a college windbreaker as a commemorative item for the college. After the meeting concluded with a group photo session, Prof. Yip led the group for a college tour and shared with them about the RC activities.

12月7日早上呂志和書院迎來多位中國金牌運動員，跟師生交流。當天書院巨星雲集、金光閃閃，同學們反應也很熱烈，暫時放下手邊要溫習的功課，前來一睹巨星風采，希望能從他們身上學到一些成功的經驗。

這次前來書院的運動員共有7位:童非(體操)、李小雙(體操)、揚威(體操)、趙雲蕾(羽毛球)、郭文郡(射擊)、何姿(跳水)、秦凱(跳水)，他們長年奔波世界各地，參加各項運動比賽，7人共獲得12面奧運金牌、超過40面世界級比賽的金牌，為國增光。

活動先由宋永華校長致歡迎詞，跟著由葉銘泉院長逐一介紹運動員，然後由運動員一一分享經驗及心得，最後請運動員在呂志和書院院服上簽名留念，跟著在大合照後結束活動。離場後由葉院長引導運動員，介紹書院各項設施及舉辦的活動，最後在同學們依依不捨中上車離開。
