澳門大學呂志和書院和新加坡國立大學里奇維尤住宿書院(Ridge View Residential College)於8月4日聯合舉辦” RVRC-LCWC Dialogue”線上會議。里奇維尤住宿書院院長Prof. Greg Petersen 和呂志和書院院長藍志雄教授分別進行致辭,並簡單介紹兩間書院的基礎設施,,辦學理念和近況。此外藍院長強調澳門大學書院教育的七項勝任力的重要性。
在90分鐘的會議中,雙方的學生領袖就各自在書院的⻆色,領導經驗,學習和求職等不同方面進行各抒己見和深入交流。在交流期間,發現了兩地的不同文化和社會環境的差異性,對於學生拓廣知識面和眼界帶來積極作用。雙方書院院長表示,冀望在疫情後能跳出視像會議進行實地互訪交流,開展不同教育活動。是此參會師生42人,為雙方書院的未來合作和互訪邁出了堅實的一步,並向國際高等教育界展示澳門大學書院制的獨特性。
Lui Che Woo College (LCWC) of University of Macau (UM) and Ridge View Residential College (RVRC) of National University of Singapore (NUS) jointly organised the “RVRC-LCWC Dialogue” virtual session on 4 August 2022.
Prof. Greg Petersen, Master of Ridge View Residential College, and Prof. Desmond Lam, Master of Lui Che Woo College, delivered speeches respectively, and briefly introduced the infrastructure, philosophy and current situation of the two residential colleges. In particular, Prof. Lam emphasized the importance of the seven competencies in the education of residential colleges at UM.
During the 90-minute virtual dialogue session, student leaders from both sides expressed their own opinions, and had in-depth exchanges, about their roles in their residential college, leadership experiences, studies, and career aspiration. This virtual dialogue session provided a great opportunity to broaden the knowledge and horizons of our LCWC students.
The Masters of both residential colleges expressed their genuine wish that they could jump out of the video conference to conduct on-the-spot mutual visits and exchanges, and carry out different educational activities, after the epidemic.
There were 42 participants in this virtual dialogue session. It represents a solid step forward between the two residential colleges and paved the way for future cooperation such as mutual visits. Besides, it offered an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of UM’s residential college system to the international higher education community.
