13 students from the University of Macau (UM) Lui Che Woo College, led by Dr Chu Caixia, a resident fellow of the college, earlier participated in a service learning project in Ban Huay Khom village, North Thailand, where they helped build a teaching centre and taught Chinese to local villagers and their children. It was the second service learning project the college has organised in the village. Last year, the college arranged for 20 students to help build a bridge for transporting crops in the same village.
