Lui Che Woo College (LCWC) organized an 11-day study trip to the United Kingdom in June 2025, aimed at enhancing students’ global competitiveness and cross-cultural understanding. Substantially subsidized by the University of Macau Development Foundation, the group of 14 students and two staff stayed at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge, and visited Oriel College, University of Oxford, as well as Imperial College London.

The trip began with an engaging presentation by Clare Hall’s President, Professor Alan Short, followed by workshops on career development and artificial intelligence led by Cambridge professors. The group also participated in Clare Hall’s annual cricket game, enjoyed a formal dinner, and toured local museums, including Cambridge’s Judge Business School.

At Oriel College, students were warmly welcomed by staff and enjoyed a comprehensive tour of the college, which will celebrate its 700th anniversary next year. They engaged in a sharing session with Oriel’s members. At Imperial College, the senior international officer organized a guided tour and talk. The group also visited University College London and the British Museum.

Overall, the trip was a rewarding experience, enriching students’ understanding of British culture and helping them develop essential competencies for future challenges, setting benchmarks for confidence and resilience in their lives.
